Project Brief
Within the red heads and royalty project i will learn essential skills and techniques for styling of the hair and how to apply makeup in a professional way. This will include safety within the studio, health and hygiene. I will be introduced to technical and creative processes in styling of the hair and the application of postiches. I will show research of the historical contexts and culture value relevant to the fashions within the Elizabethan period and contemporary hair and wig styling. Learning how to create character designs for films, music promos, advertising and fashion editorials.
Within the next couple of weeks i will have a broad understanding of the Elizabethan era which will lead me on to help me create a various mixture of designs for my development and final project. From my research i have found that high headlines, padding, and frizzing were most commonly used within this period of time. I will learn and have a wide understanding of Queen Elizabeth who reigned in this period and wore and set a lot of the Elizabethan trends of.
