Image 1) Within this first image you see a braid from one side of the face going across the top of the head to the other side. The hair is parted down the middle with two pieces at the front pulled out to frame the face. Overall this hairstyles is messy and loose unlike hairstyles in the elizabethan era as they are much more tighter and neater.
Image 2) In this image you see the hair slicked back tight into a bun at the top of the back of the head. The hair has been back combed to create volume and texture however has been crimped to relate to the elizabethan period.
Image 3) Here you can see the hair parted down the middle with two braids at each side of the head. At the back of the head the hair has been braided to form a large bun. Within the Elizabethan period the hair was usually braided and padded at the front instead of flat.
Image 4 ) Here i have added a contemporary image including padding. The padding resembles the elizabethan period due to the shape and crimping of the hair however the front is much more contemporary and modern with a fringe swepped across the forehead with hair pieces falling down the side of the head in an ombre'd and sharp style.
